GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would say at HRV there is a strong sense of community and school spirit. The staff are all friendly and helpful and I feel welcome at school.

I would love for the suicide rate to go down. We've had almost a dozen people kill themselves in as many months and the school genuinely doesn't care, unless you count plastering 988 everywhere. The high school is a main source of entertainment here, this is all of the sports in the town pretty much, and everyone sees the plays.

Hood River High School is a good school. It's a very good school. Trust me I know. Any patent sending their kid to th...

Absolutely terrible. Nobody even has the audacity to be kind to each other anymore. The main focus here is politics, which divides everyone.

This high school is really disappointing in terms of communication and ability to nurture and challenge kids academically. Experience with the school counselors is frustrating in terms of academic support for kids interests, getting in to classes for advancement and backing up the kids. Seem lazy. T...

As a sophomore, this school is not properly challenging. If I'm being completely honest, my middle school offered a better education. The school counselors have messed up my schedule several times, preventing me from being a part of engaging or challenging classes. I feel that the teachers often tea...
