The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I would say at HRV there is a strong sense of community and school spirit. The staff are all friendly and helpful and I feel welcome at school.

I would love for the suicide rate to go down. We've had almost a dozen people kill themselves in as many months and the school genuinely doesn't care, unless you count plastering 988 everywhere. The high school is a main source of entertainment here, this is all of the sports in the town pretty much, and everyone sees the plays.

The school counselors have messed up my schedule several times, preventing me from being a part of engaging or challenging classes. I feel that the teachers often tea...
