GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall I think it is a great small school with a very connected community. I have a surprising number of classes to pick from considering the school size as well. With many AP and Honors classes available, I am able to learn up to my full potential. There are even some CHS classes offered that I have taken. In my opinion, it's a great education and a fun high school experience.

Its a little above average high school wise, it is a smaller school and class size is going down extesively. The High school and Elementary school currently have bulling problems. The student body is mostly homophobic and very Christian dominated that reflects into the school board that is currently having controversy with moms for liberty. If you look it up you will probably find news storys about a science teacher or a kid that ran away from school maybe the fake bomb threats.

South Side is a very small school, so teachers and students get very close. It's very likely to have the same teacher for several classes, so you get to grow together. I am very close to the teachers that I have had numerous times, as well as the teachers who teach the harder classes. They genuinely care about their students' success and they really push them to be the best they can be. They devote their energy on us students, as well as their personal money and time to help us the best they can. I respect my teachers very much, and I'm glad that I was able to take their classes.
