GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

As high school has progressed, it truly has gotten worse. I am a fine arts kid, and I love to seem my administration support our programs. Administration has changed, and with that, the fine arts have been dismissed. It's really upsetting to see this. I love the people in my school, but it's been so difficult to do what I love in this environment.

The good thing about Jackson County High School is that we are attached to Empower College and Career Center. Empower is where we have classes like JROTC, AG, Welding, Architecture, and other career based jobs. Empower also has students from other school like East Jackson. A Bad thing about JCHS is that even though we just got a new school we are already cramped and over populated.

The school is a great school, and the classes there are really helpful to people. And they give advanced classes that will help the students in their future and be ready for their college experience. They have good sports that students can participate in, they have a lot of different classes and courses you could take, that some high schools won't give you.
