when I first came to Andy Dekaney highschool it was a big change for me coming from a mostly white school and a school with a better teaching system. Dekaney highschool lacks on teachers involvement and academics.

I like how easy it is to understand what I'm learning and how safe I feel to speak up to ask questions. Although some teachers could have been better at teaching, I'm still glad I passed. We definitely need some more teacher training for newer teachers and provide extra help for struggling students.

Since I am a freshman, I would say that so far, it's been pretty good. Not every school is perfect but I don't feel like my life or education is in danger at this school. This school provides a lot in the means of education and opportunity. There are many different clubs and classes other than your normal courses that are great. You have classes about health and psychology and graphic and digital design. You have sports other than your normal soccer, volleyball, basketball, and football. An example would be, golf, tennis, softball, swim team, and dance team (regular and varsity). I think Andy Dekaney Highschool has a lot to bring to the table.

I taught at this school for 4 years. It’s the worst place to work. The students are all thugs and the parents can care less. Social promotion is the norm. The district office is spineless.

Some of the teachers had quit because of the students or covid-19. It's so terrible because some of the students don...
