Arya Samaj of Greater Houston founded D.A.V. Montessori and Elementary School in August 2000 to serve the Houston community and children in nearby neighborhoods like Briar Village. The private school's mission is to incorporate heritage, culture and language appreciation while developing globally aware and resilient citizens. Children in pre-K through fifth grade are taught prayers, morals, values, Vedic mantras and Hindi language alongside the Montessori teaching method.
Up to first grade, students are taught through the Montessori classroom method. Students in second grade through fifth grade are then taught advanced levels in language, grammar, math, geography, science and social studies. The school curriculum includes yoga, physical education, art and computer basics, allowing students to explore special interests. They can also participate in a variety of educational events and art-related shows. D.A.V. Montessori also won first place at the Private Schools Interscholastic Association 2021 State Meet.
The school's spacious outdoor area has two playgrounds and a basketball court where children can play. Graduates from this school have continued to prestigious school programs such as Vanguard, Magnet and Gifted and Talented. D.A.V. Montessori and Elementary School students will become well-rounded after attending this school.

One of the best schools. A great blend of modern montessori education while staying connected to traditional roots. Our daughter has evolved in so many ways since being in this school. Really happy we were able to find such a school providing value education in the US. Highly recommend this school.
