Harmony School of Innovation - Houston is a top-rated public charter school located in Houston’s Westwood neighborhood. Located at 9421 W. Sam Houston Parkway, this sixth through eighth grade campus serves about 500 students each year.
Harmony School of Innovation - Houston is connected to the state-wide Harmony Public Schools system, a network that prides itself on its 100% college acceptance rate for students who go on to graduate from Harmony’s high schools. Here at the Harmony School of Innovation, students get prepared for the next step in their education through Harmony’s science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) focused curriculum. For students who want to pursue advanced studies, Harmony’s gifted and talented education (GATE) program allows another avenue to level up.
Outside of the classroom, students can get involved in a wide variety of sports, including basketball, cross country, flag football, track and field, soccer and volleyball. Extracurricular clubs are also available for students who’d like to connect with others over shared interests.
But student development at Harmony School of Innovation is about more than academics and extracurriculars. Character development is also a core value, as demonstrated by Harmony School of Innovation’s 2020 designation as a National School of Character.

This school is horrible, the food and nutrition is extremely poor. Many students feel pressured into doing things they are not comfortable doing. The school is in major debt, and begs parents for money.

I love the diversity of the school and how kind everyone is, but I do not like how strict the rules are.

I think what makes DeBakey stand out is its friendly and accepting atmosphere. So far, all of my teachers were hard-working and were willing to stay after school to help and tutor their students. My physics teacher, especially, gives one of the best memorable lectures and teaches with utmost dedication. She is part of the reason why Physics concepts and topics interest me, even though I don't get straight A's in her class. If I typed all my favorite experiences with teachers, it would probably take up six pages or more. Overall, I like this school. Not just because of the friendly atmosphere but also because of its competitive nature. The competition helps me work harder and reach higher and higher ahead of my goals.

The school is very crowded. Some of the teachers are doing a very great job but some just want to let the job done. Students go to school for fun and play, very few students want to study.
