Founded in 2004, KIPP Houston High School is the first college-preparatory high school the charter school network established in the US. KIPP, an acronym for Knowledge is Power Program, operates a high-performing tuition-free public charter school network. The nucleus of the KIPP network is located on the Kipp Way campus, which also houses administrative buildings and a primary and middle school. Many students at KIPP Houston High have attended KIPP for their entire school career. Like the other schools on this campus, KIPP Houston High believes in weaving joy into every aspect of the school’s culture. You might question whether this is the best route to achieve student success, but KIPP’s statistics support this approach. Students score higher on standardized tests than their Texas peers, and students from all backgrounds are making exceptional academic progress. A National Blue Ribbon School, KIPP Houston High has also earned a College Success Award since nearly three-quarters of its graduates pursue in-state college or vocational programs. All in all, there’s a lot to celebrate at this spectacular KIPP school.

The school is fine, academics are nice and we have amazing endorsements and opportunities to grown. The only downside is the admin, a great deal of them are inconsiderate and don't care much for student input while others who have truest dedication their careers to education pride themselves in mastering their work ethic and also know how to communicate to students in a fair manner.

Kipp Houston Highschool is one of the best kipp schools. Being that it was one of the first Kipp schools being built, this school deserves all the praises. Ever since my freshman year, the teachers and staff have opened me with open arms. At times when I feel so stressed from school work, they always make sure to be there for me no matter what. This highschool exells in academic excellence as each students is very educated and college ready. Everyday I feel proud to be a schoolar at this school.

This school is not like regular schools. It doesn't not offer the courses that most other schools do. Because of this i feel like we are not able to use our brains to our full extent. We barley win any basketball or football games. If i were you, i'd just go to a regular public school or a good priva...
