GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The latest staff had made my senior year very difficult to say in the least. They didn't really care to help the upperclassmen but I can say they did help by giving students the option to get take dual credit. Most of the time they'd be too busy with the middle school. The best part of going here was leaving.

I had a good experience at this school and was able to open many doors and network through the resources given by the school.

Jane Long Academy is a small school and a place where everyone gets along in the high school. There is not a lot of students so you have a better chance of getting help by the teacher than in a classroom filled with 100 student. I would like the school to play in the UIL because I want college to see what skills and potential we have in the sport. I want Jane Long Academy to have a girl basketball team and have more sports than soccer, volleyball and boys basketball. I want Jane Long Academy to play with competitive and good high school that eventually will help us grow and learn what we need to improve on.

Long middle school has wonderful teachers, has a wonderful way to reward hard working and good kids, and has a wonderful principle. The only problem in the school is the students. The majority of the students are Hispanic, and they are smart, but they aren't successful because they want to be "bad"...
