The School of Science and Technology Advancement is a tuition-free public charter school located in Houston’s Westchase neighborhood. Established in 2016, the School of Science and Technology Advancement focuses on helping pre-k through eighth grade students build a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education.
Located on Brant Rock Drive near the Westpark Tollway, this recently-built school serves about 660 students each year. A top-rated charter school network, The School of Science and Technology Advancement prides itself on the district’s 99% high school graduation rate and 100% college acceptance rate.
Here at SST Advancement, students get to dive into project-based learning focused on math and science. But that’s just the start. SST Advancement offers an array of educational programming, including Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), special education and English as a Second Language (ESL). The charter school also prides itself on an educational model that prioritizes character-building and developing 21st-century skills, all in a student-centered setting.
Outside of the classroom, students can participate in an after school program, extracurriculars like a robotics program and even athletics as a Falcon, the school’s mascot. In all, community members say they appreciate the SST Advancement for its dedicated staff and supportive learning environment.

Joke of a school, horrible 6th grade teachers would only recommend staying there up to 5th grade, if not your in for a miserable school year. Also its VERY underfunded.
