A private pre-K through 12th-grade college preparatory school, St. Thomas’ Episcopal School educates the whole student through academics, arts, athletics, extracurricular activities and Christian values. Although St. Thomas’ Episcopal accepts students of all faiths, over 650 students are required to attend a daily half-hour chapel session. Latin is also required throughout the fourth and eighth grades. From first to eighth grade, St. Thomas’ Episcopal has single-gender classes. As students mature and prepare for college, they participate in co-ed classes from ninth to 12th grades. For all students, the arts are essential to the St. Thomas’ Episcopal experience. Student creativity is nurtured and explored through visual arts, theater, choir, orchestra and the Scottish Arts program. Inspired by the tradition, discipline and prestige of the pipe bands of the British Army, the school’s founder set up the Scottish Arts program in the late 1950s. All students take Highland Dance in the lower grades and those who want to continue can take after-school classes to prepare for local, regional, national and international competitions. The Pipe Band also competes internationally and immerses students in Scottish piping and drumming. St. Thomas’ Episcopal School’s academics are world-class. It offers 22 Advanced Placement courses beginning in 10th grade. A full slate of athletics rounds out the student experience at this school.

My experience has been pretty good - we have a lot of stuff for arts and sports. However, because of how the schedule this year was formed, a lot of students couldn't get classes they wanted. I wish the food was better to be honest. Our college counselor, Mr Chaves, is amazing and is giving us many many opportunities. He's awesome. The classes are on the smaller side, 15 ish per class, which makes it easy to know everyone in your class and form a community. we have only 50 ish people per grade so you tend to know lots of people in other grades too, which is nice.

Saint Thomas Episcopal is a great school in many aspects such as: the arts with our amazing Scottish Arts program, Student Life with all our great sports and clubs, and parent involvement with the class parties.

Great school to help prepare you for success in college. I joined in 6th grade and have grown and learned so much. The Scottish arts program is unique and plays at an extremely high level while providing a great way to make lasting friendships with band mates.

St. Thomas’ Episcopal School provided me a superior education, with mandatory classes, exposing me to education the vast majority of people will never experience. STE demanded we respect our elders and we all simply knew to obey; it never occurred to us to not obey. I was never aware of any intentio...

My daughter just started first grade and in 3.5 months she has blossomed on all fronts( reading, writing, comprehension, math) the school is extremely structured and has homework for 1st graders, however they spend the time in. Teaching the material in class. It worth the premium and I am thrilled w...

We heavily researched schools before choosing STE and it’s one of the few schools that didn’t feel artificial. Amazing education, warm community, reverent students, skilled teachers, and lots of clubs and activities offered. Their transition to online learning during the COVID crisis was amazing! Th...
