Students at Pineforest Elementary School get an early jump at life in academia. The school has an exemplary Gifted and Talented (GT) program where teachers encourage students to be free thinkers through research and honing communication skills. Furthermore, students get early exposure to college life through “College Corner,” a counselor-led curriculum that involves teachers setting educational goals and an introduction to college books. Pineforest also hosts college T-shirt day on Wednesdays, and fifth graders go on college tour field trips. In keeping with the spirit of educational exploration and reading, Pineforest challenges its students to maintain reading achievement through the summer reading program. Students who read more than 24 books earn the chance to win a prize. In addition, the school hosts a reading celebration early in the new school year. In addition to academia, Pineforest believes in boosting morale to maintain campus positivity. Students who help to beautify school grounds – which includes an outdoor learning space – participate in school functions, maintain perfect attendance, or achieve honor roll can earn Spirit Sticks. Pineforest Elementary has served the Atascocita community for over 35 years. It currently enrolls 594 students in grades kindergarten through fifth.

My sons teachers have been very hands on and patient with him, as he's a handful. He's been getting better grades since moving to this area and going to Pineforest. My son always seems happy when I pick him up. When Ive dealt with administration they've always been accomodating.

All three of our children have attended Pine Forest Elementary and we absolutely love it. We moved from Louisiana to Texas due to several hurricanes and have had an amazing experience here. The administration as well as the teachers do an exemplary job to make sure that our kids are well taken care...

Both of my children were bullied the entire time they were enrolled there. I think it was even worst for my daughter. It got so bad that I h...

I strongly disagree with this assessment. First the student to teacher ration is more like 24:1. The kindergarten classes all share one great room with cubicle walls to separate them. Yes half walls covered in carpet. The principle is decided ineffectual. 3 weeks after sending the principle a letter...
