GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Central Valley Academy has been a wonderful high school experience thus far. Our athletic facilities and programs are exceptional. The honors programs are challenging and adequate. The worst parts of my experience deal with the other students because unfortunately many students do not know proper public etiquette. Also this year the school board has decided to restrict cell phone use by banning it completely. I'd like to see a change in bathroom policy and aid in ending student addiction including vapes and marijuana usage.

Here at CVA I can easily say that I have had a great time spent here in this school. The staff and the students have treated me well here and I am happy to have studied here with my peers. I have met many of my peers from programs such as the music and drama programs. Many people had the same interests as I do. Another program I found many of my friends from was the NJROTC program. One person who I got very close with was Jayden Crouch. Jayden showed me how to do many of the drill movements and other things that are related to NJROTC. I was also given the chance to go to Leadership Academy in Newport Rhode Island. In conclusion, I can say my time spent at CVA was outstanding.

There should be more funding for baseball and college courses. The overall experience if fair and average.
