Overall good experience. Not many extracurricular activities besides sports. Most teachers are nice and good at what they do, but I did have a few here who were not as great.

School offers few options for extracurricular activities except some sports. Student better be on the "preferred" team or will not receive adequate practice time. Gym teacher is poor and does not provide a good role model for the girls. We checked out a peer school and public schools. There are SO many more types of extracurricular activities than our school offers. We are most disappointed.

Since it's an all girls school, there isn't any competition for funding with boys teams, which gives the girls better opportunities in sports.

I was at villa for two years. Unless you want your kid to turn out as someone who cant express themselves, don't put them in villa. The social atmosphere is absolutely horrible. This has been my second experience with Villa Maria Lower School. i would rate my first experience as a 3.5/4 based primarily on the lacking science department. It seems that there has been an effort to improve this department as well as others but the climate at the school has dramatically changed....
