GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Overall, the experience at Anchor Bay was good. Most of the teachers cared and took time in order to explain and help students who needed it. There were several instances of vandalism and police involvement, however I believe that is to be expected when the school has 2000+ kids. Also there were many different clubs and activities ranging from sports, to drama, to DECA, where everyone could find what they liked and peruse it.

Anchor Bay is a great school with great teachers and students. Athletics compete at the highest level in the area.

Anchor Bay high school is a terrible school. My child has been threatened in bowling multiple times I dealt with the parents and did not do anything to help that problem and then went to the school and I've called the counseling office Miss Adams every day for 10 days and she still has not returned my phone call the school has completely failed my child huge disappointment.

This results in large class sizes and a lack of individual attention for students. Second, the school has a poor academic reputation. Test scores are low, and students often f...
