The building is too small to have two schools and 700 students in it. The students are often unruly and disrespectful. The attitude goes out to the community in which local restaurants have banned students who are under 18 from visiting their facilities. Jackson High School rarely has a valedictorian or salutatorian from Parkside. The school needs to be split and it would encourage some students to come back.

My child was agressively bullied & assaulted on numerous occasions while attending these school. She was once assaulted with a weapon which lead me to abruptly pulled her from school in her second year. My child was diagnosed with PTSD stemming from the assault. Parkside has multiple offerings for our children. Both girls have earned High School credit in Math and Languages. The band/music program is second to none. The school used to be a priority school and was highly misunderstood. I would encourage any prospective parent that truly cared about education...
