Beaches Episcopal School enjoys a long heritage in Jacksonville Beach. Originally established as a preschool in 1952, Beaches is now part of the Episcopal School of Jacksonville which includes four campuses and provides education through high school. The Beaches campus offers prekindergarten for three- and four-year-olds and elementary education for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.
Beaches students engage in a hands-on curriculum that is enriched with art, music, Spanish, computer science, library and Christian education including a chapel. Movement and physical education are key to early education. The student body supports their Eagles with basketball, flag football, soccer and volleyball. Fun and community engagement are built into the program with several events such as the Blessing of the Pets, Grandparent and Special Friends Day, an autumn Boo Bash, a Christmas Pajama Day and a Spring Musical.
The Beaches Episcopal campus is located four blocks from the Atlantic Ocean and enrolls over 100 students. The school is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, the Southern Association of Independent Schools, the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Board of Regents for the Episcopal Diocese of Florida.

I do not recommend the pre k program at Episcopal beaches. The head of the school and prek 3 teacher are rigid, not kind and they lack the capacity of dealing with children's diveristy. My children attended Beaches Episcopal School and now my grandchildren are students. I could not be more pleased with the teachers and leadership. BES offers a safe, caring, and scholastically strong environment for my grandchildren. It is a crown jewel at the Beaches.
