Jacksonville Beach Elementary School is a public K-5 magnet school that is specifically designed for gifted and academically talented students. The school offers an intense curriculum that is individualized to each child's personal interests and strengths. Students are in classes with other high-ability learners enabling teachers to enrich the content and increase lesson complexity.
Teachers engage students at an accelerated pace as they practice problem-solving and encourage higher thinking. JBE is a good school overall and it's far better than most Duval County Elementary schools, but if your child needs help keeping up, don't expect them to get help from the school.
