In the Southside Estates neighborhood lies a public school that empowers students and teachers to build a positive community geared towards education. Beyond the red brick exterior is a vision to equip students with the knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and success. Educating pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, the relatively sizeable elementary school has provided public education to the Southside Estates community.
Students experience a core curriculum and can take advantage of the well-rounded programmatic offerings and supportive services. Enrolled learners can participate in self-contained classroom environments through the school's Communication and Social Skills Program.
Although performance scores are modest compared to other local elementary schools, the student-to-teacher ratio is better than the state average.
Out-of-school programs like Master Gardeners and Music and Art clubs are available for those interested in skill-building and expressive pursuits. Leadership-building extracurricular activities such as Girls Scouts, Safety Patrol, Student Council, and Girls on the Run provide many opportunities for students to get involved.
Southside Estates Elementary holds monthly "Family Nights" events to help foster relationships with students and their communities. The close-knit neighborhood school continues to educate some of the youngest residents in Southside Estates.

Southside Estates administration protects teachers when they bully, they do not protect the student(s). My child's teacher scared my child and then tried to intimidate and belittle me. The administration did nothing. Every school needs a 3rd party to look out for the interest of the students.

Southside Estates was an absolute wonderful experience for my son, Chandler Townsend. Teachers, extended day, janitor - all staff was amazing. Nothing bad to say at all.

I would rate my experience at this school a 2 out of 10. This school is very disorganized, the security is very lax & the staff is rude more often than not. Communication is poor and it's very hard to get a clear answer from ANYONE.
