GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Jacksonville has amazing opportunities and academics. The music program is funded but I feel as though it could be funded a bit more. There are multiple clubs and counting as well as sports that make it easy for every student to be involved in some part of the school.

Overall, Jacksonville is not a bad school. It has its issues, of course, but so does every other school. The best part is that I feel like everyone can get along in one way or another, even though there are fights sometimes. The main thing I don't like is that a lot of people vape in the bathrooms or smell like weed and I feel like a lot of teachers don't do anything. Usually because they are completely oblivious to the fact or don't really care.

My experience at Jacksonville Highschool was interesting to say the least. The best part of high school was my freshman and sophomore year. I was more excited to go to school and had motivation. The worst parts of high school were my upperclassmen years because I had to focus more on my school while working at the same time. I would like to see a change in the motivation from teachers and staff to grow motivation in the students. I would like to see a more diverse school in general but more events to make all students and staff more culturally aware.

The principal in black and white and sees no gray. She is uncaring. Her lack of empathy for these students is disheartening. No one contracts you about concerns for students that aren't passing. I thank God for power school because without it I would have no clue. I graduated from here and would nev...

This school has drastically changed from a few years ago. Instead of teaching our students they give them the answers and not them what leads up to it. The students are not allowed to take anything home to help them study for a test. And I've only has one teacher care enough to call me in for a conf...

This school has become an example of what is wrong with the American school system. My oldest graduated 5 years ago and it has declined so precipitously it is hard to remember what it used to be. The new principal cares more about the 01%of students in the full ib courses than making sure the rest o...

Absolutely horrible, I would like to see some changes among the school involving grades and teaching useful and effective materiel.
