GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like to see more school spirit. In my year there were no good enjoyable school spirit programs. The trips were unorganized, a lot of people didn't get to go on the trips.

I am currently a senior at Jamaica Gateway to the Sciences. I would say that it is a good school overall. I feel prepared to take the next step towards college. There are a number of AP courses and other programs for those who are interested in excelling academically.

I enjoyed the staff members and the methods of teaching they did such as tips and tricks. I did also enjoy the school spirit and how they motivate students to work harder. With also ways to gain help is another advantage the school has to offer to future students and or current students. One thing I would change is the ways of bathroom policy and the strict lunchroom rules of who can go upstairs or so. Another change would be the parent involvement since not a lot of parents come to PTA meetings which is important if students want change to the school

Most teachers do not respect students and seem to have a negative attitude. I would not recommend this school. Lot of fights and bullies.

I'll be honest, my dad forced me to apply to this school because of its fancy name. I really hated the school at the beginning because I felt like it was a relatively small school and was only a part of the BIG campus is resides in. However, time has passed and now as a junior, I am thankful to my d...

This school is a very good school. Even though it's a relatively new school, it offer many opportunities for students to be involved in extra curricular activities and academics. I am currently a senior of this high school. I have been attending this school since its birth, September,2011. I have se...

This school is a bad school. I am a student so I know the environment. Most of the students don't care about school and get really bad grades. The students are bad influences and the school itself has a negative environment. My review is that its one of the worst schools anyone can go to. Do not eve...
