GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience at Mount Zion was enjoyable. I made many different connections with students and faculty. Some of the teachers have really helped me through difficult situations during my high school career and have been very encouraging.

Mount Zion is a horrible school and this is coming from a freshman. I didn't even want to come to this school but I ended up being here anyways and I hate it. This school is like a prison. The teachers don't teach us unless someone from the district comes in and then gets upset at us when we don't answer their questions but they haven't taught nothing. The safety at this school is horrible because they still find some way to bring weapons here. The teachers don't care about the kids vaping unless the principal is around. I've never in my life heard the teachers curse so much like they do. The teachers curse way more than us and they are very rude. At this point the teachers are only here for the money and not to teach us anymore. The same way the students don't care anymore they don't care.

Mount Zion wasn't the best high school in terms of resources, but the teachers and staff certainly made it feel like home. I really like how certain staff pushed for events that made school more enjoyable for us. I don't like how we felt less than as student athletes because we didn't have as much as other schools when it came to athletic facilities and resources as a track athlete.

Son transferred (not by choice) to this poor excuse of a school a few years ago. Teachers just don’t give a damn and so most of the students don’t either. Not all but most. So glad he is a success in the Navy. I hate Clayton County Schools.

The experience I've noticed at the school, it's an unsafe environment. There is a lot of gang activity, fight and bullying. The only way , I suppose, to get through the high school years there is to pretty much stay to yourself and do your assignments and take advantage of credit recovery if needed....

If I could give a zero I would. I see why Clayton County Schools have such a bad reputation. I am a parent of a recent MZHS graduate. If it wasn't for my love and support, my son would have repeated the 12th grade. I am so disappointed with the virtual dedication my son received. I realize virtual s...

This school is a 1 because the staff don't protect students from bullying or gang related activities and some teacher teaching skills are horrible for them to have a degree. The well-being of the students are not their first priority
