I came to this school when I was a freshman. I knew nothing about the Hawaiian culture. Thanks to this school, I feel like I know so much about my culture now. This school also does hands-on and interactive learning. I feel that, through that type of teaching, I am able to learn quickly and efficiently.

Teachers at Kanu are great because they don't just do it for the money. They do it cause they want us the students to reach their highest protential.

This school is my safe haven. If I could start over again I would still attend this school because it the most comfortable place just like my home.

As far as education is concerned Kanu just doesn't have what it takes. They fail to teach their students in an effective manner which is clearly visible in their test scores, which are comparable to those of the failing public schools in Hawaii.
