On the eastern side of the Argentine neighborhood sits J.C. Harmon High School, named after a former principal that served from 1924 to 1954. The high school is home to just more than 1,400 students and about 90 faculty and staff members. At J.C. Harmon High School, technology is integrated into the curriculum. Every student receives a laptop to use for assignments and other course requirements. Another feature of the curriculum is the Career Cruising program. This program enables students to evaluate their life and career goals. The school offers multiple extracurricular clubs and activities, including student council, band, choir, ROTC and theater. And any student who enjoys athletics will appreciate the abundance of sports offered at J.C. Harmon. Football, soccer, softball, wrestling and cross country are just a few of the sports teams that students can join.

This school is good overall it just struggles to keep everyone in check sometime. This doesn't happen very often now but there used to fights, but luckly they were able to fix that.

Harmons main focus is collage readiness , mental health and acknowledging the diversity in the school. Harmon really opens your eyes on the different cultures and what it is like where they are from! It's a really accepting school based off the students mainly!

People care about one another at Harmon. Teachers are committed to helping and respecting the students. Most of the kids are dedicated learners coming from excellent elementary backgrounds. KCK is a great, hard-working community and Harmon is its heart

Overall J.C. Harmon is a great school! The past has defined the school as one of the worst schools in the area, but with a new principal coming for the 2013-2014 School Year, Harmon will be at the top of its abilities.
