Ive been going to Sumner for 5 years so I have seen the ups and down but overall it's a good school and it will help you get where you need to be after highschool with the classes and they also have college classes that will help you if you want to experience more of what it will be like in college.

Sumner Academy is a very education-based and focuses a lot of time and resources on making sure students do their best on testing to help better our community ut could use better mental health resources

Sumner Academy is a great school to attend for high school students in Kansas City, Kansas. It offers tough classes to those willing to challenge it. Opening opportunities for young brilliant kids. Although, in recent years I feel there is a decline in the pursuit of further education in students. I feel no driving force from many students who recently attended the school. It is my belief no changes are made, and the mindset of students to progress will decline each year.

I received a phenomenal education at Sumner Academy. I was far better prepared for college than most people I met in my first year of school. Would send my own children here in a heartbeat. People complaining about the age of the building should find something better to do...your kids are not being...

The academics and the teachers get an A. However, there are so many roaches throughout the entire building that the students began referring to them as pets. There is an awful sewage smell on the third floor and the ladies rooms are filthy. My student has to refrain from using their bathrooms until...

The work load is a little bit more demanding but there is a much better environment. There are almost no...
