Located at 4121 Medoc Drive in Kenner, Louisiana, Chateau Estates Elementary School is a co-educational facility serving children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. It was established in 1985 and is a Louisiana Top Gains school. It provides transportation to and from campus only within its attendance zone, and all other students must follow the school’s drop-off instructions. Uniforms are required at Chateau Estates, and there are four stores throughout the city which carry the official school seal which must be worn. Chateau Estates Elementary School strives to create an inquisitive community of lifelong learners, strong leaders and purpose-driven citizens. The institution enrolls more than 650 children, and state test scores show 81% of its students are proficient or better in mathematics and 79% are proficient or better at reading. These test scores mean the school is ranked higher than average in the state of Louisiana. Chateau Estates recently implemented a technology program where each child will receive a Chromebook or laptop to allow them to become familiar with and master some of the most common technology used each day. The children are encouraged to learn to use screen time appropriately, to learn practical skills, and to realize that technology, while fun, is also a powerful tool for their studies.

I am hoping to get my child away from this school next year and she has attended her entire life because there is Nothing at all offered to her as a six grader much less a seventh or eighth grader. The school board and this school are doing children like mine a big dis service by pretending to be able to have enough room for all these children. the class rooms are way overcrowded and definitely not enough one on one with these children.

It is very nice school but only I feel issue is double story for handicap people they cannot study in it. because from grade 1 to 5 classes upstairs, like in fire drill they cannot walk down and during that period lift will shutdown/ off. Parish need to fix this issue other then teachers and staff a...
