At Kent City High School, students work closely with their teachers to prepare for a career or continued education. With a small student body, children can make close connections with their peers, most of whom probably attended the same middle and elementary school. A balanced curriculum ensures that every student learns the same material and has the chance to catch up if they fall behind. A diverse range of electives promotes classroom engagement and assists students in finding their passions. These include strength and conditioning, computer applications, Spanish, art and personal finance. An English Language Learner program promotes language acquisition in the classroom, while special education opportunities offer additional support at school and home. The Kent City High School band performs and competes throughout the year. Concert and marching band students perform for their local community, while individual and ensemble competitions can help prepare students for collegiate and professional goals. As a Silver Division school in the Central State Activities Association, this school is home to the Kent City Eagles. The Eagles compete in multiple sports, including cross-country, football and soccer.

Teachers were very personable and grew connections/relationships with each of their students. This allowed me to learn in the best way possible and helped me to grow as both a student and a person.

I really enjoyed Kent City. I felt that most of the teachers actually tried to get to know you and tried to give you a better learning experience. It felt like a lot of the teachers cared about me. As for classes, most of them I did good in because the teachers were there to help me and answer any questions I had.

If I could give Kent City zero stars, I would. For starters, the staff is awful, the school spends money is the dumbest ways and offers almost no extracurricular classes. This school does NOT prepare students for college at all. Sending your child to this school is a waste of time, please look elsew...

The small town atmosphere combined with the familiarity with the rest of the community is a big advantage. Some large schools make students feel like they're just another 'number', but here at KC everybody knows everybody. One thing I don't like about this school is that the sports program dominates...

This school needs to get it's act togeather. It requires students to take classes they do not offer, and also this school has no money. With no money it plans on continuing next year in some way shape or form that will probably be harmful to the community.
