It was a pretty good high school, but the administration has a history of handling inter-student problems badly. Good luck if you are harassed or bullied. Solid academic and club programs with enough options for anyone. They tend to aggressively push kids towards honors/AP courses, which can be very overwhelming.

The best part of my high school experience has been the relationships I have formed with my teachers. I feel like I have connected with a handful of them personally and that I have gotten to create great relationships with them. My parents always talk about visiting their old teachers from high school and I feel as if I have made that connection with many of mine. The worst part of my highschool is that I feel like the people who are well-behaved and do what they are told to do are often overlooked by the administrators and not as much effort is put into assisting in the success of those students.

Bearden High School is a great place and I'm glad that I got to come here for high school! I like the variety of clubs and classes offered, but I do wish there was a little more school spirit.

The principal, Debbie Sayers. is lazy and uncommunicative. Emails are ignored by parents and she provides zero engagement let alone activism in taking care of her students. Bathrooms are unusable and dangerous: toilet paper and paper towel dispensers have been missing for months. Not days, MONTHS!!...

We have had 3 children attend Bearden HS. Overall it has been great experience. There are plenty of sports, clubs and activities for each of them to thrive. The academic rigor has been excellent and my children have all scored >34 on ACT. As everywhere, some great and some ok teachers but can’t say...

I found as a parent, my experience has been average. I have a child that is a great student, high GPA but does not play sports. If your child does not play sports, not much attention is given to the kids that have high academics but if you are a football player you are recognized much more. Sports,...

We have 3 Bearden High School students who picked this school when we moved here based on visits with the counselors, teachers, and principal! We have not been disappointed. The staff is top-notch and the students are at the top of their list of priorities!
