Gresham Middle School serves about 800 students at its campus located in Knoxville, Tennessee. Students in grades six through eight are encouraged to reach their goals and interact with their peers through participation in academic pursuits, clubs, sports and musical ensembles. Gresham Middle School is named for Hassie Kate Gresham, who served as principal at Central High School for more than 30 years. Gresham was the first woman to become a high school principal in Tennessee. During her tenure, Central High School occupied the building where Gresham Middle is today. The Gresham Middle School Foundation is a nonprofit that supports Gresham Middle School by providing opportunities that would not otherwise be available to staff and students. Student-athletes at Gresham can participate in basketball, cheer, dance, pep club or track and field. There is also a robust instrumental music program with a band for each grade level, as well as a guitar club, jazz ensemble and an audition-only wind ensemble for seventh and eighth graders. Gresham offers its students several clubs, including National Junior Beta Club, robotics, crochet, art, rock climbing, writing and yearbook clubs. Following eighth grade graduation, Gresham students will begin ninth grade at Central High School.

My experience with this school has been quite mostly terrible. Students are not assisted; accordingly, they are usually left in the dark if they fail a large grade. As well as them allowing 2 Failing classes to pass instead of assisting the students. I believe if any failing classes qualified for a...

Horrible experience. Bullying issues that are not resolved. Rude office staff. Unhelpful and uncaring administration that does not care about children's safety or their education. Mrs. Glover is a terrible principal and encourages bullying while also being a bully herself. I hope she doesn't make it...
