It is a good school with all kinds of elective classes from coding to engineering to business communications. There are many good and nice teachers and counselors that provide a good learning environment. There are also plenty of clubs and sports at the school like DECA, DND club, Robotics, Football, Softball, Golf, Bowling, etc. It is annoying though that half of the boys bathrooms are always closed for one reason or another.

It was okay, I loved most of the teachers here, the academics, clubs/sports were good; however, I didn't feel that safe and the building and food were both horrible. Pros: -good number of sports/clubs & activities to do -mostly nice and helpful teachers -academics, they offer a variety of honors, AP and DE courses -offers classes in a pathway manner to prepare you for your future career Cons: -safety issues like dealing with bullying, fire alarms, shooting threats, and even responding to a gas leak!! -not helpful management that ties into the safety issues -the food served is typical high school food but it's still the worst! -not that much diversity

Hardin Valley Academy is a decent school to attend. You'll get good classes but depending on the teacher you might have a difficult or easy time. There are lots of clubs and sports to join with a large variety of diversity. There have been some interesting events and administrative changes that could affect the view on the school. Overall, HVA isn't the worst school to attend but there are definitely some changes that could be made.

I went to Hardin Valley a few years back and it was a great experience but it has gone downhill. With the new principal and staff my siblings have faced discrimination. Recently I went to the school and encountered a rude office staff. I wasn’t aware one couldn’t bring drinks from the outside and sh...

Overall the education seems decent. But over the last three years, the rest has gone downhill. What used to be a nice campus is now full of litter every single day. If your child is a car rider, you will find that the parents cannot follow the very simple pick up procedure without taking up two lane...

Student section during athletic events have a mob like mentality. Racial and personal statements being shouted out non stop! Administration does nothing about and it’s been going on and reported for years. I would not recommend this school for lack of character.

The way this school handles sensitive issues is beyond inappropriate. The students appear to be drones with no active thinking for themselves. The principal is the worst, he is rude, callous, and pretentious. He feigns care and is overall haughty. I pulled my child from this school with no intention...
