Walker is an average middle school. There were too many fights when I was in 7th grade (4 fights that year), so our principal made double lunch, with 7th/8th having different lunches. If it is still the case there, sorry :(. Many teachers were upset about double lunch as well. It was a bit better in 2018 with double lunch and there were no lunch fights. The teachers I had were good. Everybody wanted Mrs. Green, and I got her :). I had honors in 8th grade for math and had Mr. Takehara, which was surprisingly easy. However in 9th grade at Kennedy, math got harder. I took STEAM in 8th grade and I did not enjoy it. The only good part was that I went to Disneyland. The school did get some facility improvements when I was in 8th grade, but it could have been better.

lots of bullying and discrimination between students in this school, the staff "raises awareness", but it is not effective because they do not know how to handle actual bullying. the teachers are kind, but most of them do not know how to handle a chaotic classroom nor do they know how to show author...

I brought my son here on an interdistrict transfer after hearing about their great STEAM program. So glad I did. The program is amazing and continues on into high school.
