This award-winning public elementary school, located on the corner of La Paz Road and Paseo De Valencia in the heart of Laguna Hills, serves approximately 600 students between kindergarten and sixth grade. Valencia Elementary School is one of the schools in the Saddleback Valley Unified School District.
Valencia Elementary, which has previously been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School as well as a California Distinguished School, provides students with a rigorous core curriculum that also works to develop their social and emotional well being as well. A particular emphasis is placed on science, technology, engineering and math-based learning opportunities and the school's modern classroom designs help to facilitate learning. Valencia Elementary also offers students leadership opportunities and extracurricular engagement through peer assistance and student council programs. There are also programs that provide art, drama and music instruction that engage students’ creativity as well.
Valencia provides students with a district-sponsored Gifted and Talented Program (GATE) for upper elementary students that show extraordinary academic promise, ensuring that they receive highly engaging and enriching instruction throughout their experience at the school. There are also high quality, before and after school programs available through The Learning Connection. These programs help children further develop their social and emotional and physical skills as well as reinforcing what they learn in the classroom.
