GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Two children in Sachem Schools. Feel that it is very much run by the board. Not happy with many self serving board members. Our superintendent is leaving- sad to see him go.

I really enjoy my time at Sachem North. I also was on the Arrowettes team which was challenging but was so worth it. There is a lot of team spirit at the school and I have made many wonderful memories.

The school is great , teacher are caring and involved. Guidance gets involved and is always providing both instructional and emotional support. Sports are a big thing at the school but limited availability to join team since the student body is so large. Clubs are not well attended and i feel don't meet enough during the school year.

My granddaughter tore her ACL playing for the Sachem North Soccer Team. She had surgery attended physical therapy and fought like hell to tryout for the next soccer season (9-10 months later). She was given clearance from her doctor and tried out in her bulky brace and hung in the best she could. Fa...

This school is awful. They are unorganized and do not care about the students. If you have a special needs student, stay far away from this district. The administrators and teachers are not trained to handle them. The high school is always short staffed, and they hire subs that have nothing but a H....

The administration, the teacher’s, and the counselors at Sachem North have a history of lying about students and bullying parents. It’s no wonder this school has a history of lawsuits. Avoid this horrible place!

My husband and I were not happy with the way some of teachers and principals act at Sachem. I feel the teacher union at Sachem is so strong and so many teachers at Sachem can do and say whatever they want to students and parents. When my daughter was in 7th grade I decided I didn’t want to deal with...
