Duval High was pretty good. You only struggle if you don't do the work. And if you you're struggling to get back on track the teachers are willing to help you. You have many opportunities to get your service hours in while at school. They're offering a wide range of clubs now, which is nice. They also set clear rules when it comes to extracurriculars, like, you can only take dual enrollment classes if you have a 2.5 gpa. And if you do apply then you only take 2, this makes sense because some classes are almost 3 hours long.

Hi my name is Atepha Marie and i am a student at Duval high school in Maryland PG county, and my experience in Duval is not the best but at the same time it isn't the worst. Duval is a school that has alot of clubs for everyone, there is always something for someone and that is one good thing about Duval. Duval has it's up and downs even though the are kids in this school who don't value their lives or other peoples lives the administrators always do their best to help resolve any issues that come up between students. This school also offers theraspist for students who are going through a hard time.

My best parts were meeting new friends and teachers but I really struggled in the pandemic but I eventually overcame challenges and started making straight A's in my senior year

My kids are doing great at this school. The teachers really care, are professional and will work with you to help your child reach their educational goals. You have to reach out to them and they are responsive. They have good AP courses and many programs for students. But it is unfortunate that it s...

My Experience there was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had during my time at PGCPS. The teachers weren’t very engaging. Kids thought I was odd. This one senior dude was making senior remarks at me and was harassing me. I got beat up every time I get off the bus. I cried everyday in my sleep....
