Lapeer High School is decent, but it could be better in many ways. I believe they do not tell you your full potential as a student, including telling you your options. I was never satisfied with the counselors, I believe they could be much better and care about their students instead of getting upset when asked simple questions. I loved most of the teachers but some have a "figure it out yourself" mentality. That is not how it is supposed to be. some of my grades were seriously affected because teachers did not help me properly.

I have always had a great experience during my time with all grades in the Lapeer Michigan district.

I believe my school needs lock down on how students act. A lot of students will be blatantly disrespectful towards teachers and staff that being with not putting phones away or not doing work. Another thing that I would like to see changed is the counselors. They do not do their job, for the past three years I have never gotten a schedule without gaps or incorrect classes on it and I have been told several times that My plan for the future will not work out.

Teachers are enthusiastic! Kids are friendly and easy to talk to. Its basically everything we hoped for when we moved here from Grand Blanc. There are several AP, early college, etc., choices to be made for any kid wanting to move ahead.

Just not a very good school system. A very poor performer, look elsewhere. My students have transferred out and now are vey happy. As a parent I just could not take it anymore.

Just an awful school system. I just really wish we never moved here! The high school is terribly overcrowded, and staff does not respond to request. All that is cared about is the sports teams, how could they not be successful when they are double the size of all their league competition? Many kids...

My son is in his 3rd year at East. The band program is wonderful. Most of the teachers are good. I am very happy with this school. I am afraid it is going to go down hill once they combine the 2 schools (over crowding).
