The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

I have been a student at West Las Vegas District School since elementary. It was a place where the athletics felt like home and the classroom was a place you felt like you fit in. I have had an amazing time there with wonderful people. Some teachers pushed me harder to strive better for myself and I will forever appreciate it.

The school is very small from a very small town. It is not very well funded in most any aspect. Most teachers are good. We work with what we have.

We enrolled our daughter here, and we were never less than ecstatic about how family-like this school is. My d...
