GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Being here for 2 years, I can attest that Durango is a decent school to get your high school education. The teachers I've had are the best ever; they always try to help you and teach you the most efficient ways they can. However, the cafeteria food can have more variety in it.

Best parts of about the school are the most likely the friends I made along the way but a lot of people you don't know remain kind of hostile and the environment isn't too friendly especially if you aren't participating within Honors, AP's, or Dual Enrollment classes. I personally love the teacher's dedication to helping students and the "Gear Up" program that prepares students for college and scholarships but overall Durango is an average school to me. I don't have any particular areas I would like to see change in but the people could definitely be friendlier.

While being a student at Durango High School I have made so many friends. I have also had the resources to get help with college applications, scholarships, and even teachers who help and review my college essays. This school has it's flaws but I am beyond happy to say I'm graduating from this school.

I was a student of this school for my senior year and it was the worst experience of my life I had to transfer to this school because I had to move from California to Nevada and they said that none of my credits from my old school wouldn’t transfer over so I had to take their state test even though...

After raising 8 children over a 40 years period, I can attest to the fact that not only is Durango the WORST school any of my kids have ever attended but the entire school district is the worst. That isn't an opinion. it is a fact if you research online based on research groups. I won't go into the...

Both of my boys go here with my older son graduating tomorrow. We are on COSA to go to this school and I love it. The school keeps us informed and included, and the teachers respond well to the students' needs. Both of my boys are high achievers, into extracurricular activities, and take pride in th...
