GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My experience so far at Lee's Summit North High School has been good and bad. As a school it's not very clean and the food isn't very good. We are known for a school that gets in a lot of fights some of which people have ended in the hospital. It makes the safety questionable, but some good things about Lee's Summit North is that they have a good IB program as well as a Speech and Debate program that ranks 33 in the Nation. We also have an amazing football program. There's a good amount of resources and if you ask for help you can have the potential of getting into a great college.

Overall my time has Lee's Summit North has been pretty awesome. All of my teachers have helped me learn what I need to learn in their class as well as prepare me for life after highschool. I joined the swim team my sophomore year and it was one of the best choices I have ever made. The team environment is amazing and I have made such great friends. My coach pushes me to be the best I can be and he also motivates me. Today at practice I was having an off day and he pulled me to the side, Instead of yelling at me for being slow, he motivated me to forget about the slow sprints before and focus on the next one. The last one I went the fastest out of all 4.

I would say one of the best experiences that I've had learning at Lees Summit North Highschool would be the help and resources that you get along the way however their are some pretty nasty food their that I wouldn't recommend eating but they do have snacks so it kinda balances it out

A great school for all. The administration is doing well in most categories except fight prevention (one day, there were about 5 fights, and many students and staff members were hurt). I truly believe that they should have harsher consequences for starting fights because clearly students are not det...

Like all schools there are good and bad teachers but in my experience at Lee's Summit North most of the teachers are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their subjects. The bad teachers are the outliers. This school has a lot of great programs and things to be evolved in. The administration has its...
