GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The environment at Lee's Summit West is very welcoming, we have lots of opportunities that can involve all students with something that they are interested in. The teachers at the school create great relationships with the students and leave a positive impact on them for years to come. West has changed my mindset in school and encourages me to show up and be the best version of myself possible. I would highly recommend this school to anyone and everyone.

As a parent, my experience with Lee's Summit West High School has been positive overall. The best part is the supportive community and opportunities for growth. However, I would like to see more diversity opportunities, recognition for diverse achievements, and greater representation of male teachers of color. These changes would enhance the learning environment and promote inclusivity.

With moving to Lees Summit West High School at the beginning of my freshman year, I wasn't too sure about feeling one hundred percent ready. When getting there I met tons of new people that were friendly out of the gate.

She became articulate, confident & made great friends while being at West. She was sad that I had to transfer her due to recent marriage. I am told by her that everyone...

Regarding the comments made about the yearbook and mentors... As a previous yearbook editor, in 2004-2008, I just wanted to let you know that the yearbook has no affiliation with the staff or administrators at LSWHS. The yearbook is based on what the yearbook staff wants to write about and what the...
