The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I go to an International Baccalaureate school that means the first two years of high school are all four years of high school and then the last two are all college level classes. It's an extremely advanced and rigorous curriculum. I feel as if the curriculum is preparing me. The teachers have not helped me and I've had to learn majority of work myself. The school community is lacking, and I have felt unsafe in my own school due to facing immense antisemitism within the school

The school's program is great, however not all of the teachers are. Despite the limited facilities, staffing, and financial support the school can offer, a student with enough passion and determination will go far at BSGE.

There are no after school programs or tutoring for middle school students. Teachers point towards Google Classroom as the main solution. The building is old and small. There are 27 students in one class. During an orientation, the cafeteria had random objects stacked in corners of the room. With no music or art for middle school students, the emphasis is writing and math. Upon entering the building, the atmosphere seems dismal.
Unless you are certain you want to study liberal arts and pursue an IB certificate, please do not waste your time at this school. I currently have a 4.0 gpa in a STEM major in college but going to this high school had me so overworked and stressed that I considered dropping out for a while. The teac...
DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! You will be wasting your time on tedious assignments with no merit at all, especially if you are not going international for college. No one in America cares about IB. BSGE is grossly underfunded and needs a new building. Their website is tailored to make the building look like it is not condemned. Any images of building found through search engines are from a long time ago or have been cropped. In terms of students’ academic life, the teachers assign so much work...
