GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It has been a wonderful experience being at GALA for 5 years. There is definitely a sense of community within the grades, and I know there is at least one teacher at this school I can trust with in school, and outside fo school problem's. Everyone feels like my friend, and I think that is very important for school culture.

GALA Is an immersive middle to highschool experience; thought my years at GALA and seeing all my other friends at other schools, GALA doesn't compare; we get amazing opportunities, have great college prep, people, teachers, and the environment is beautiful. Learning in an all girls environment makes it a positive and safe space and it helps you to grow and learn while feeling comfortable and joyous.

While it is a very welcoming enviornment, the facilities leave a lot to be desired. The bathrooms are never fully stocked or accomodating to the fact it is an all girls school. No proper sports facilities or funding for robotics teams. Not many field trips for highschoolers. The majority of teachers are wonderful people and well educated in their fields. Many opportunities for college prep but it does not have a diverse course selection.

GALA has both positives and some MAJOR challenges. The positives: the school promotes a strong college, STEM-focused culture, and instills that in the students starting in Middle School. There is a strong "girl power" and growth mindset culture and from what I've observed, most students are very goo...

GALA is such a special school and community. Our daughter started in 6th grade and is now in her last year of middle school and will stay for high school. The principal, teachers and staff are all invested in the well-being of the students and creating a positive school environment. This is as close...

Pros: Most teachers are happy working at GALA and they care about the girls. It is convenient to wear a uniform and the uniform is nice-looking. The breakfast and lunch are free! Not too much homework. They read only one book per year in middle school English. My daughter would say that is a pro as...

PLEASE DONT GO HERE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE. I am a student at GALA and before I start I want to mention that there have been many lockdowns, a kid brought a knife to school and wasn't suspended, expelled or punished in any way, and they let kids say slurs and harmful things to other students. I love m...
