Both of my kids have had a splendid experience with SLA! The community has been nothing but welcoming and they feel very comfortable on campus. With their classes they are actively engaged in the contents being taught. They feel at ease when in school which makes me content!

The school is very small which gives us the opportunity to learn better by having small classes. Teachers are very open to outside of class support when you need it and prevent you from falling behind.

My time at this school has been hell. I dread waking up in the morning and realizing it is a weekday. There are so few students here that I don't have any friends. Not because I can't make any but because I'd rather be alone than hang out with these non-personalty kids. They are all annoying and unfunny. They think that Esla is the real world but once they hit the real world they are not going to survive. This school seems like a person said, hey I want to make a school, but they didn't plan out anything and just went for it. My 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is bigger than this whole campus. The classrooms look like I am sitting in a prison cell and the teachers help with that feeling by boring me so badly that it is common thing for me to doze off in class. The fact that I'm 16 and still getting my phone taken during a free block is absurd. I would have more human interactions going to an online school than I would here. Have a shadow day before you make your decision here.
