I loved my time at Windward. They were always supportive and adapted to my emotional and intellectual development in a way that allowed me to have the best possible high school experience.

1. The Windward schedule has too many "no school" or "early dismissal" days, and too many free periods and breaks, resulting in students not having enough instruction time in classes. Instruction in AP classes in particular is rushed (and cut short) due to reduced class hours (vs. that of a couple of years ago) and the AP exams occuring in May, before the end of the school year. 2. Teachers should not give exams during AP exams, as students' preparation for AP exams is impacted by having to study for "regular" exams.

The teachers are the best in the city! Challenging and accessible. A lot of attention is paid to development and fundamental understanding.

Windward is truly an outstanding school where our daughter has blossomed into a capable, confident, and...

Excellent. Shirley Windward saved me and gave me to tools to soar today. Though I graduated in 1978, to this day I remember Shirley and my Windward experience as the best of my life.

They have each been encouraged in many ways to pursue their varied interests (my son loves robotics and music, while my dau...

Windward does a great job of building a community amongst its students and faculty that is both inclusive and nurturing, which aligns well with its mission.
