GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My overall experience with East High school has been a rocky road from freshman to senior year. There were some ups and downs in the school but overall I can see that the school facility did try their best to make East High a safe learning environment for all students and teachers.

My time at East High School has been nothing but a joy. Coming into this school I was nervous about how big of a community it housed. Though, time and time again that has proven to be the reason why East is a privilege to be apart of. From our dedicated teachers, to our driven students, our school is colored with the vibrancy of life and the vastness of the living experience. We see students proud in their heritage working to better their communities. we see others at East working hard to improve and see change within themselves. It is what makes my school so unique and it has allowed me to flourish.

I love the majority of my teachers. They're great and truly care about their students and want them to succeed. I've found many classes and clubs that fit my interests. Everyone can find an activity that fits their interests and thus find other people with the same interests. Although the sports teams don't perform well, there are many to choose from. The biggest problem is fighting on and near-campus and marijuana-use.

It is the most diverse, and its diversity is celebrated across the school. If moving to the area, check out East. Don't let the num...

East is an amazing school. The student body is diverse and celebrates this across the school. The staff are dedicated and very student-oriented. The graduation rate has increased steadily for the last 8 or 10 years, and the graduation rate for African American students has increased from 45% to 82%...

Top notch. The ratings on here must be old as I see all the work the kids and teachers do to lift up all students. They celebrate the kids who have been accepted to college, diversity, people with disabilities. They have a lot of programs in place so to prepare for students to be ready for college,...

Everytime I contact the school by phone or enter the building everyone welcomes me, I feel like a guest! The prinicipal is always visually available to greet parents during parent-teacher conference and fully participates in all school processes. Teachers are committed to an inclusionary environment...
