The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My school is extremely community oriented with many generations of families attending the extracurricular events. Also with it being a K-12 school there is cross over with the high school helping the elementary. I am told it feels more like a private school with the one-on-one relationships that form.

It isn't a horrible school if I had to school there again I would only do it because of a couple of teachers who I really enjoyed having.

As parents we have always been able to talk to teachers and office staff about issues good or bad that are going on with my kids. Also the fact hat the teachers still ask about our son and how he is doing even though he is 25 years old and graduated 7 years ago. They care about the kids even after they leave school. I have no doubt my Senior daughter will be the same. Kids have names here not just a number in a mass.
