GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

At Cherokee I love the community and all of the things that you can be involved in. There are so many ways to get involved and so many clubs to join. If its volunteering, joining the chess team, or a language club, there are so many cool things to participate in. Every sports game is always a great time with our school awesome student section.

I'm currently a senior at Cherokee and over the past 3 years I've had a great experience meeting new people and teachers and trying out many different activities while also getting a great education with the amount of classes that I am able to pick from. I feel like there's a good variety of opportunities that the school can offer and they do a good job at preparing students for college.

Cherokee has aided in my success beyond high school and into my college years. The school provides plenty of resources for extra help with class assignments and exams. What I would like to see change is having a late bus for students taking sports and clubs after school. Many students don't have the availability to do after school activities because there's no available transportation afterwards.

Administrators love to power-trip only when they want to, not when anything bad actually happens to a student.

Prom ticket is $110, food is barley edible, only decent at sports, no school field trips, bad administration, club fee is $200, penny pinching everywhere.

BEST HIGH SCHOOL AROUND! Best places for your student and kids to develop life skill and education. Cherokee really sets kids up for success!

Cherokee is falling short in making sure all students are protected from bullying. There is not enough expectation of tolerance for those who are good kids but live outside the norm. Even some staff are complacent about bullying as if it is to be expected. Support could also be given to those that a...
