GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Maryville has it really great compared to some schools but I would like to see a lot of things with the relationships between the students and the administrators because it is currently really terrible. Most of the teachers are great and the academics are like no other. But everything with maryville is so strict and about controlling the students.

I moved to Maryville City Schools the summer going into my 8th grade year. My father was in the army and I would constantly move from school to school. One thing I can say with confidence is that Maryville is the best school system I had ever been in. The teachers cared for the students and would help us everyway possible. It was the safest school I had been in. All the schools have three SROs and you can go to them about almost anything.

It has a very good culture when it comes to sports, music, and activities. The academics are outstanding with many great teachers. But theres a select few teachers in there that aren't the best as well. Theres lots of resources and oppurtunities to excel in both academic and extracurricular activities and the involvement in that is great with volunteers and admin. Overall, MHS is a great school.

Yeah...this school and the Maryville City School system as a whole is garbage. They only cater to wealthy and influential families.

I was born and raised in this school system, and my parents have attended these schools. It is not an uncommon occurrence to have Alumni within the family, and I believe it helps me to be accepted in a school that seemingly only cares about money, sports, test scores, and lineage. I can first had sa...

MHS is a great high school. My wife is a graduate and she credits MHS with giving her the academic preparation to succeed in college and go on to earn three degrees. I have seen other members of my wife's family graduate from MHS and all have gone on college and had great success. It is one of the m...

I attended an incoming freshman student meeting designed for parents. This was the summer before Maryville opened up the Maryville 9th Grade Academy at the former Maryville Middle School, now designated as the Maryville Junior High School??? This meeting consisted of 45 minutes of bragging about ACT...
