GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have been at Maysville High School for all of my junior high and high school years, for 6 years. It has been a wild but fun journey here. Sports are very important as well as the student-teacher relationships. I really enjoy attending a small school, it feels very close-knit. This is a great community to go to school in.

There are a lot of stairs and a broken elevator that if replaced, might cause the building to collapse. Other than that it's a good place to experience all the traditional high school experiences.

The dropout rate is high, staff caters to the few, and those who struggle with their grades are pushed aside. Maybe if the school staffs underlying philosophy was no child left behind meant helping...
