GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Reflecting on my time at McKinney Boyd High School, I remember my years on the bowling team. They were the highlight of my time there. I loved being on the team but wished more people who also loved the sport. When my team tried to get more people to sign up on the school's annual club day, we weren't offered resources. I hope that when more students are trying to get more publicity for their club, the school will be involved with the process rather than one day and a spot in the far corner away from the leading sports and clubs.

Being at McKinney Boyd High School has provided me with the maximum opportunity to further myself academically. At Boyd, students are allowed to create their own clubs and hold meetings. This broadens the school's uniqueness and diversity.

When I was at McKinney Boyd, the school was decent. Most of the people were nice and the teachers and staff were friendly. Sometimes it was hard to figure things out, such as school events or graduation stuff.
