As an autistic student, The Potomac School struggled to meet my needs even a little. Upon presenting my diagnosis they gave me extended time on tests. I did not need this as I frequently if not always finished among the first of my group. What I needed- to not be in loud places- they were not willing to help me with. That being said, if you're neurotypical and want a good college prep school with rigorous academics this is the best school you'll find.

I feel ready to go off to college because of how Potomac has set me up. I've learned how to manage my time efficiently and how I learn best. My teachers have taught me valuable life lessons and are all so wise.

The administration does not care about their students. Yes, it is a great academic school, but my experience here has been nothing but negative on my mental health and confidence. I would not recommend this school unless all you care about is being smart, even at the cost of your happiness.

After three years at the Potomac School we are finally leaving. If you do not fit into their cookie cutter mold (person of color, LGBT, lower socio-economic status, special needs, etc.) you need not apply. Although they promote diversity, it is a marketing ploy. You WILL experience discrimination an...

This is not at all an inclusive, healthy environment. Very cliquish, high stress and discriminatory. Although praised as one of the best schools in the DC area, it is not worth the hype!!
