My experience started off a bit rocky, as it was challenging to adjust and find my footing at first. I felt a bit disconnected and unsure of how to get the most out of the experience. However, once I got involved in a few clubs, things really turned around. The clubs helped me meet new people, build a sense of community, and make the most of my time. It ended up being a positive and rewarding experience once I found where I fit in.

It's a nice school to make friends. I love the community and how all the students have fun together and create a safe environment for everyone.

They do not provide enough gender neutral bathrooms, they also are not the most supportive towards the trans community in our school. I wish administration would help but they do not see this as and important/pressing issue. Your experience can also change depending on who the class advisors are.

All this school cares about is numbers. Student safety does not exist here and the staff( principal) only cares about pushing its bullying reputation under the rug

I have 3 children going through Shawnee. It’s an excellent school! Teachers are dedicated and hard working, students are just normal kids, very few extremes. The curriculum allows for a variety of levels of rigor. I have one kiddo who needed college prep classes and my other kiddo who is headed off...
